  1. Okay, the studio album was at least more fun than most of Cactus' output. but this double LP set is a self-indulgent mess! The band doesn't connect with the audience, and really doesn't care. A few songs, like "Superstition", "Black Cat Moan", and "Lady" are worth repeated listening, but the reason that Mark Stein took the lead vocals on the majority of Vanilla Fudge's work, rather than Appice.
