  1. referencing Here And There, LP, Album, DJLPH The live version of "Love Song" featured on this album, sung as a duet with its author Lesley Duncan, alone warrants purchasing "Here And There". It is one of the most moving song I've ever experienced.
  2. Stephen from Trenton, Me Though Funeral For a Friend and Love Lies Bleeding were not originally intended to go together, these were back in the days of album sequencing. Elton thought it was strange to go straight from an instrumental into Candle in the wind, then Bennie and the Jets, then Goodbye Yellow Brick Road.
  3. Elton John's opus and masterpiece shines here, as it always has. All of the original tracks are remastered to perfection, even thgh I can't tell a difference from the last remastering. The extra tracks are a nice touch, but even for this Elton John, fan, they can be a bit much if you listen to all in one sitting/5(1).
  4. Although initially considered a contractually obligated release, when Here and There () was upgraded in as part of Elton John's (piano/vocals) "Classic Years" catalog overhaul, it became the most definitive live document to date of his immortal '70s quintet that featured the pianist backed by Davey Johnstone (guitar/backing vocals), Dee Murray (bass/backing vocals), Nigel Olsson Price: $
  5. While there are other live Elton John albums out there, Here and There, in its double CD format is arguably the best. True, may be the cooler choice, but ultimately it was recorded too early to include many of Elton’s big hits, whereas Here and There was recorded at a time where he was a commercial titan, and before the rot set in.
  6. " Funeral for a Friend/Love Lies Bleeding " is the opening track on the double album Goodbye Yellow Brick Road by Elton John. The first part, "Funeral for a Friend", is an instrumental created by John while thinking of what kind of music he would like at his funeral. This first half segues into "Love Lies Bleeding".
  7. The original vinyl release, mirrored in this reissue, was 5 songs from the Royal Festival Hall on Side 1 and 4 songs from Madison Square Garden on Side 2, and includes an insert with original liner notes by Paul Gambaccini. The album is both remastered and reissued on gram heavyweight vinyl/5(11).
  8. live event that features Elton John at the top of form live in front of a live audience. Originally released in to time-honoured success, Here And There present an unforgettable concert experience that’s hailed as perhaps his best and most highly successful live album to date as it gives us plenty to offer and leaves listeners with/5(5).
  9. Remaster Pressed On g Vinyl LP This essential live album captures Elton John's iconic '70s quintet with Davey Johnstone (guitar), Dee Murray (bass), Nigel Olsson (drums), and Ray Cooper (percussion) performing sets from two concerts, one recorded at the Royal Festival Hall in London ("Here") and one recorded at Madison Square Garden in New York ("There").
